A really original Frankfurt apple wine tavern with an outstanding, homemade apple wine. The menu is very minimalist. There are schnitzel, liver loaf with fried egg and 'Handkäs', a specially formed sour milk cheese. The restaurant is almost exclusively visited by locals. This is also due to the fact that the official entrance in Wilhelmshöher Straße 165 is always closed, even with roller shutters lowered. The actual entrance is located in Draisbornstraße. Once you reach the inside, you feel like you're in a different time. It's very quiet there, there's no street noise. The restaurant is rustic but not old. It's all clean and neat and incredibly cozy. In summer, you can sit under trees in the shady garden and enjoy a certain coolness even during summer heat waves.
